The Society meets in Loudoun Hall, Boat Vennal, Ayr. The map below shows how to get there.
Loudoun Hall is one of the oldest houses in Ayr and one of the few houses from the 15th century remaining in any Scottish burgh. Mary Queen of Scots stayed here in August 1563.

Directions and parking
From the south of the town, proceed down Fort Street as if travelling to our old venue at the Citadel. I would suggest that you start initially looking for parking on Fort Street near to the Academy.
Further parking can be found by turning left at the mini roundabout on to Harbour Street.
Alternatively, turn right at the mini roundabout then right again just after the 'island' in front of the Hats. This is an ideal 'drop off' point for passengers but not suggested for parking. Continue to Harbour Street or....
Turn back towards New Bridge Street and follow the one-way system left over the bridge, then turn right (quite a tight turn) into River Street where further parking is available.
Visitors driving into the town from the north could try parking in River Street first. The venue is just 3 minutes walk from here, directly opposite the pelican crossing.
