THE SOCIETY LIBRARY
The Society has a well stocked library, containing a wealth of philatelic information which is regularly updated with new additions every year, purchased by the Committee, or through donations. The library is generally accessed at the beginning and at the interval of club meetings. A member of the society is elected annually to act as Librarian, and is available at most meetings to assist members.
Again, this service is only available to members at meetings.
ADVISORY COMMITTEE
A Committee, acting under the President, is available to give members, or relatives of deceased members, advice on the disposal or otherwise of philatelic properties. Arrangements to access this service can be made to the Secretary.
TRANSPORT
It is acknowledged by the Society that some members, for various reasons, have difficulty attending meetings, even though Loudoun Hall is in the centre of Ayr, with reasonable parking nearby, and is easily reached by public transport. Lifts can be arranged to meetings if required, subject to availability, and anyone requiring transport should contact the Secretary.
SOCIETY NEWSLETTER
To keep all members up to date on what is happening within the Society, a newsletter was introduced during the Millenium Year, which proved an immediate hit with members. It is intended to produce three issues per year, and contributions from members will be greatly appreciated.
