Your Memories
In the time that this site has been up, we have received a number of e-mails from former locals who have left the area and have enjoyed the memories which have been stirred by some of the items on the site.
So we have decided to open this new section where we will publish your memories to share with others of your era. Please feel free to e-mail us services@intayrnet.com with your own recollections of "the good times" and let us know whether you would like us to publish your e-mail address.
Here are the most recently submitted memories from:
- Malcolm Pattman was a youngster in Prestwick in the 50s and 60s.
- Kay Bousquet (nee Lidster) writes about the early '60s when her father managed the Queens Hotel.
- Billy Irving has written of his memory of a 1944/5 friendship with a girl called Janey (from Maybole) who worked as a counter clerk at the Sandgate Post Office. If you can help 81 year-old Billy to learn more of Janey's life, please contact us at services@intayrnet.com.
- Janette Williams lived in Orangefield Drive, Prestwick in the 50s and 60s and would like to hear from anyone who remembers her.
- Joyce Cowan grew up in Dundonald, moving to USA in 1954 in her early twenties. Childhood and teenage friends are sought.
- David George, now in USA, spent his early years in Prestwick and seeks old friends
